 | Washington, DC¬—Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.) has secured $750,000 for improvements at Fort Baker, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The funds will be used to rebuild parts of the trail system, augment public facilities and improve infrastructure for recreation and public programs. The funding was part of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Bill passed late Thursday.
“Fort Baker is an amazing example of historic preservation united with state-of-the- art green building and technology. It remains a community asset for nearby Sausalito, and yet it is a national treasure,” said Woolsey. “I am pleased that funding has been secured to make it even better.” |
